The process of creating is just as significant as the final outcome of my work. Exploration through struggling, adapting, problem solving and discovering are reoccurring themes in my process. The darkroom is my sacred place - a place where my process is a performance for the work I create. I prefer utilizing techniques that push the traditional process. The final result is done through combining negatives (or paper negatives), stencils and found objects with carvings or markings of my own hand. This is where I challenge not only the concept of a photograph, but also my boundaries as an artist.
